Your Fishing Experience
at the Billfish Club Cabo Verde
São Vicente / Mindelo, Republica de Cabo Verde
Captain Berno Niebuhr hopes to welcome you soon on the Cape Verde Islands.
Those who travel to Cabo Verde for fishing usually want to pursue marlin.
The “Atlantic Blue Marlin” is represented here around the Cape Verde Islands, located about 1800 km south of the Canary Islands and about 500 km west of Senegal, Dakar in a worldwide unique population.
Guests of the Billfish Club Cabo Verde have been catching by far the largest marlins on Cabo Verde since 1998.
Have fun looking through our pages.
The average size is between 90 kg and 150 kg. But fish weighing 200 to 300 kilograms and more are also regularly caught. With the exception of record catches, all sword-bearing fish are released. Besides blue marlin, we also catch white marlin, spearfish, sailfish and swordfish.
Catch yellowfin tuna, big eye tuna and albacore with us. As by-catch, the strong-fighting (and tasty) tuna are always welcome.
All jack species and especially the largest, the amberjack, are found here in really good sizes. The extremely strong fighting fish are very popular.
Catch bonito, wahoo, dorado, various shark species as well as a whole host of demersal species, and, and, and.
